It is ideal for large or complex installations such as school, traffic or retail environment, where standard servers could take longer time to return search results. AXIS S1228 Rack AI offers an outstanding user experience when using Smart search to quickly display the free text results.
Hardware for state-of-the-art object classification
AXIS S1228 Rack AI can handle up-to 10 times more moving objects per minute compared with standard products, thanks to a powerful GPU and CPU delivering state-of-the-art object classification. This allows processing to take place in the background and ensures the database is always up to date with the latest data. It's built with dual solid-state drives (SSDs)- one for the operating system and one for the Smart search database to ensure high system performance and reliability, maintaining longevity of the hardware.

With an intuitive installation wizard and AXIS Recorder Toolbox, AXIS S1228 eliminates installation problems to help ensure every customer installation is trouble-free. This secure device complies with government policies and uses a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) that is FIPS 140-2 level 2 certified, which increases the security of the product and ensures recorded video is stored encrypted on the hard drive. Produced in a TAA-designated country, it also complies with NDAA FY19 and FY2023 and comes with a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), ensuring compliance with strict regulations. It includes one empty bay for easy storage expansion, and support for AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage if recording in the cloud is preferred.
